Disability Rights Fund Project

Disability Rights Fund (DRF) project is to raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities amongst Deaf persons in Uganda. It’s a one year intial project.

Goal / over all objective:
The overall objective of this proposal is to contribute to the promotion of the rights of PWDs by raising awareness of the UN Convention amongst Deaf persons, other PWDs, stakeholders and the general public.

Trainig is now going on at the centre with boarding facities.

There is also a coalition project headed byUSAID with Mental Health Uganda (MHU) and Legal Action for Persons with Disabilites (LAPD) that is aimed at demostrating CRPD in Uganda.
